Faculty - Destin Black, MD, FACOG

Dr. Black graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. at Wake Forest. She then completed medical school and residency at Louisiana State University. She left the comfort of her Southern roots temporarily and traveled north to Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center for her GYN Oncology fellowship. She returned to her beloved Shreveport where she is Clinical Assistant Professor at LSU. Dr. Black has extensively published, but approached ABC "to join the 'A' team" because she was so impressed with the faculty's passion for teaching. She gives a new meaning to "true grit".
