URPS 2026 Qualifying Written Examination Candidates
Your URPS Qualifying Written Exam is quickly approaching on:

If you have not already done so, be sure to schedule your exam through Pearson VUE as soon as possible to secure your preferred testing location and time.
With fellowship responsibilities, graduation planning, and transitioning into practice, it’s easy for exam preparation logistics to get pushed aside — but this is an important step in your subspecialty board certification journey.
Exam Format

Exam length: 3 hours and 45 minutes

You may leave early if you finish before the allotted time
Important Exam Day Reminders
âś” Bring two forms of identification
âś” Personal electronic devices are not permitted during testing
âś” Unscheduled breaks of up to 10 minutes are allowed
Lactation Accommodations
Candidates requiring lactation accommodations may request:

A 30-minute break

Additional testing time
Please note: accommodation requests must be submitted to ABOG at least 90 days before the examination date.

URPS 2027 Certifying Oral Exam Candidates
Registration for the 2027 URPS Certifying Oral Examination is now open.

As part of your application, you will need to submit:

Verification of hospital privileges

Documentation sent to the ABOG office via email or fax
Once approved, ABOG will send a confirmation email.
Start Your Case Lists Early
We strongly encourage candidates to:

Begin entering cases now

Familiarize themselves with the case list entry system

Have sections reviewed by mentors and colleagues early
Starting sooner allows more time for revisions and refinement before submission deadlines.
