If your case list isn’t done, it’s time to focus—this is your top and only priority right now. We strongly recommend revising your list at least twice, as the first draft is rarely enough to meet board standards.

Our ABC faculty are currently accepting case lists for expert review.

For Case Lists being submitted July 31st

  • July 17th - late fees of $300 applied
  • After July 25th, we will not accept case lists

For Case Lists being submitted Aug 31st

  • August 17th - late fees of $300 applied
  • After August 24th, we will not accept case lists

Planning to take your Oral Exam in 2027?

Fast-Track Tip from ABC:

If you're fast-tracking for the 2027 oral exam, start collecting your cases in July—not February. Although the application typically opens in February, waiting until then puts you behind from the start. Stay ahead of the curve and set yourself up for success by starting early.

Upcoming Dates and Deadlines:

July

  • 17th – Late submission fee applied to submit case lists to ABC for the July 31 submission deadline

  • 20th – ABOG Specialty and Subspecialty Qualifying Examination

  • 25th – Last day to submit case lists to ABC for the July 31 ABOG submission deadline

  • 31st – ABOG case list, candidate photo, and examination fee due without late fee for Certifying Exam candidates

  • 31st - Last day to apply for AOBOG November oral exam

August

  • 1st – ABOG late submission period begins for Certifying Exam candidates ($400 late fee applies)

  • 11th – ABC's Oral Exam Workshop

  • 12th–16th – ABC's Hybrid Board Review Course, Asheville, NC

  • 17th – ABC late submission fee applied to submit case lists for the August 31 ABOG submission deadline

  • 24th – Last day to submit case lists to ABC for the August 31 ABOG submission deadline

  • 31st – Final ABOG deadline for case list, candidate photo, and examination fee submission for Certifying Exam candidates
