Faculty - Megan Sumida, MD, FACOG

Dr. Megan Sumida is a Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology (PAG) specialist. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry from Occidental College and her Doctor of Medicine from John A. Burns School of Medicine, University of Hawai`i, with Certificates of Distinction in Medical Education and Social Justice. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Kaiser Los Angeles, where she received awards in resident research and minimally invasive surgery. She recently completed her PAG Fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children’s Hospital where she received a teaching award and obtained an additional certificate in Lifestyle Medicine. She is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor at Stanford University School of Medicine.


In addition to direct clinical care, her career passions stem from advancing gynecology and reproductive justice through medical education, patient advocacy, research, and surgical device innovation. She recently completed her term as Chair of the North American Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology (NASPAG) Advocacy Committee, and currently serves on the NASPAG Research Network Steering Committee and the World Congress of PAG/Annual Conference and Research Meeting (ACRM) Program Committee. ABC's course helped her study for and pass her own ABOG oral boards, and she is grateful to now be part of the ABC team!
