ABC is the first in the country to offer the flipped learning model proven ideal for hands-on learners. Course Director, Dr. Krishna Das, has created an innovative program to address high yield topics for your exam.
Physicians are hands-on learners. We not only review content, but also teach you how to articulate board answers to oral exam questions. You will practice these skills daily in a simulated exam environment, so you will walk into your exam with confidence.
Each day is filled with focused didactic sessions on OB, REI, Primary Care, Oncology, GYN/Office & FPM. Afternoon small groups will use an oral exam format to implement and integrate the topics reviewed in the morning session. The faculty facilitated structured cases and sessions on application to your case list will provide opportunities for you to verbalize the answers as you would in the actual exam. This format will be informative, focused, collegial and fun.

"This is the course that 8-10 of my previous residents used to prepare for the oral and they all passed ... "
"The best touch was calling us by our names! Next, having special lunches to reach out and help each one of us was amazing. I loved how much Dr. Das & the staff interacted with each one of us. There was so much love, support and encouragement that I feel that I can take on anything right now and succeed! My private meeting with Dr. Das has given me new hope & I can't wait to call and tell her when I pass my boards this year."
"It took me 7 years to pass the awful written board. Today I found out I passed my oral boards on my first attempt. Thank you for all of your support and help with us foreigners and weak test takers, with positive feedback, positive support and constant reinforcement; thank you for believing in us when we are the first not able to do it!!! I can finally look ahead of me, relieved of all the pressure (HMO, ACOG, ABOG, Malpractice insurance, Hospitals and lawyers)! My family can finally enjoy a more normal father and husband! Thanks, thanks, thanks!" --RL
"I know you shouldn't look for excuses, but I failed my oral exam. I had a pituitary resection and had difficulty with word recall, OK I just froze. Surely that was the reason? I then got deployed to Iraq, so yet another excuse. COL Das was empathetic, but firm about what I needed to do. I tried it her way. What did I have to lose? Well ma'am, I received word today that I PASSED! Thank you so much for the time and effort you have expended to ensure we all received the best possible information. It was uncanny how prepared I was for the types of questions that were asked. I completed 3 mock orals as you recommended, and did not have ANY problems with nerves during the exam. More importantly, the mock orals pointed out weaknesses that I was able to strengthen prior to the exam. Thanks again for all you do. Blue skies!" DM
