Lauren Castleberry, MD, received her medical degree at the University of South Florida College of Medicine in Tampa and completed her residency at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. Following her residency, Dr. Castleberry cared for indigent and underserved women at Erie Family Health Center in Chicago for one year. She then worked for two years at Riddle Hospital in Media, Pennsylvania, where she also worked with OB/GYN residents at nearby Lankenau Hospital in Wynnewood. In addition to her responsibilities at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Castleberry provides gynecologic care for HIV patients at the Immunology Center. Her interests include abnormal uterine bleeding, uterine fibroids, obstetrics, and gynecologic ultrasound.
Along with speaking at regional and national conferences, she has won numerous teaching awards.
Dr. Castleberry knows firsthand what ABC has to offer, as she attended ABC in preparation for her oral boards.
