Faculty - Stephanie Braunthal, DO
Dr. Stephanie Braunthal is a dedicated physician and educator specializing in internal medicine and obstetric consultative medicine. She completed her medical education at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree in 2017. Her undergraduate studies in French were completed at Wellesley College in 2010.
Dr. Braunthal's postgraduate training includes a residency in Internal Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, where she served as Chief Resident and received numerous honors, including the 2021 "25 Under 35 Mover & Shaker" award from the Cleveland Professional 20/30 Club. Following her residency, she completed a fellowship in Obstetric & Consultative Medicine at Women & Infants Hospital of Rhode Island, where she now serves as a staff physician.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Braunthal is deeply committed to medical education and scholarly activity. She holds an academic appointment as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and has published work as a Chief Resident Blogger for the New England Journal of Medicine. Dr. Braunthal is also an active member of various professional societies, including the Society of General Internal Medicine and the North American Society of Obstetric Medicine.
Her career is defined by a passion for women's health. She finds particular joy in collaborating with ob-gyns to improve patient care, advance medical knowledge, and mentor the next generation of physicians.
